Maison Cadiou has been managed by the Cadiou family for over 50 years now. Each of its last three general managers brought their own experience and expertise to the table, assisted by a smooth-running and ambitious executive team. They were always driven by strong values, conveyed from one generation to the next.
Maison Cadiou is a family-run business and the French leader in aluminium gates. In September 2021, the founder’s granddaughter, Emmanuelle Cadiou, became the company’s majority shareholder. In 2007, she took over at the head of an SME counting about one hundred employees, formerly managed by her father since 1973.
She is now the majority shareholder of a medium-sized company counting over 700 employees, working alongside other long-standing family members who are minority shareholders, and supported by a Steering Committee (referred to as the COPIL).
« This consolidates the family’s desire to hold its company’s shares - I did not want to involve any investment funds. This however changes nothing to how the company is run. The operation simply asserted our desire to pursue a family adventure, and serenely prepare the fourth generation’s arrival in about ten years », she explained.
"Here at Cadiou, we are proud of our Breton heritage. Our desire is to remain a medium-sized business with an agile organisation, which makes us a learning company, able to expand and allow its employees to grow."
Emmanuelle CADIOU
Managing Director of Cadiou Industrie.
“Cadiou boasts over 50 years’ experience. Its constant expansion proves how strong its partnerships and distribution channels are, and how talented its teams are. This dynamic is enhanced by strategic thinking, aiming to focus our innovations on the end user. Our partners join us in saying that co-creation is key to opening us up to the world of tomorrow.”
Jean-François LEGAULT
Director of Sales for Cadiou Industrie.
Ronan Cadiou welcomed us with large and generous hands to Ostarili Ty Jos, a little café nestled away in the heart of Locronan. In this authentic setting, Cadiou’s founder confided in us, with a touch of humour, modesty and simplicity.
